This fix should work for the following problems: Broken Nvidia Control Panel Missing Options on the Nvidia Control. Here's how to download the latest graphics card driver and get NVIDIA Control Panel up and running again. How to fix NVIDIA Control Panel not opening on Windows 10 Anniversary Update Right-click.

Ok, so I have experienced a lot of tearing issues while playing games - mostly simple 2d platformer 'indie' games, for example Fez and Mercenary Kings. The super graphic intensive FPS games like Crysis and Far Cry 3 are fine. This scrolling effect or 'tearing' is caused by VSync issues. So I went into my Nvidia Control Panel and noticed that when I previously thought that I was changing video settings for individual applications I was actually in the tab 'Manage 3D settings.' So I was not changing video settings at all, only 3d. I had noticed the tab title before, but didn't think much of it because it is the ONLY tab available. (And it has been since I bought the computer.)Apparently there should (maybe.) be 3 tabs in Nvidia Control Panel: 3D Settings, Video, and Display.

So I did some research and found that many people have complained about this issue - they are either in my situation (only 3d) or they have 3d and video but are missing Display.I couldn't find any conclusive info but some people have said that because of the Intel GPU (hence an Optimus setup) that the Display tab won't be available because the Intel GPU takes care of display issues. But still, there should be a video tab.Other people said that the mobile GPU is the issue, but a lot of people with mobile GPUs have said they do have all settings. Others said that they PREVIOUSLY had all the settings but after a driver update they were gone.

So obviously there is some confusion on this point. So my question is what options do you have in your Nvidia Control Panel? I have a Y510P with a single 755M.Whether you have a single GPU or SLI please respond!I just want to know if we are in the same boat, and if so I have to figure out a way to change VSync. If my computer is messed up, I guess I'll figure that out too. I just would like responses from other Y510P oweners. I want the option to turn Vsync ON/OFF because I'm sure this is what is causing tearing in MANY of my games, and making them extremely irritating.Thanks. Thank you for the reply!

I'm glad to know that I'm not alone.I just don't understand why we can't have all 3 settings with a single GPU. There has to be a way to disable the intel GPU if that is what is causing the problem. From what I understood from some reading, the Optimus setup blocks the Display setting but not the Video.hmmmI don't understand your suggestion about changing the vsync within the 3D settings though. I understand how this works, but this ONLY changes the settings for 3D gameplay with Nvidia 3D Vision.I need to adjust it in the Dispaly or Video settings that you have now with 2 cards.
